Animism / Shamanism, diving into Gaia's spirit
Contemporary Art | Animism popularly refers to a worldview in which every being and object possesses a soul. The definition more generally connotes a belief in spirits. Shamanism, on the other hand, is a practice that allows one to see into and travel among otherwise imperceptible levels of reality. These beliefs are often associated with non-Western cultures, but are resurfacing in the fields of art, philosophy and medicine in Europe, the United States and elsewhere.
