Art Market | Early Work is a new online platform that formalizes a « seed market » for art school students, offering a means of selling works from the first year of school up to five years after graduation.
Solidifying a commercial link between students and buyers, Early Work exploits an expanding segment of the market, given the popularity of art school programs and the growing number of emerging artists that the market has increasing difficulty absorbing. The team selects works from all mediums from an international network of schools (ENSBA/Paris, Saint Martins/London, Ecal/Geneva...) ; the prices are determined in relation to the artist’s year of studies and the production costs. The economic model is based on a 50% commission on sales, including advising, as most students receive little training in the commercial aspects of the art world in school.
